Jerry Peterson: Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophone. A charter member of the Beaters, Jerry is the crowd pleasing soloist who is noted for his playing two horns at once on Millie, Make Some Chili. Jerry's prior stints include playing with Kim Carnes and Tanya Tucker. jerrypeterson.com
Lon Price: Soprano and Tenor Saxophone. Lon joined during the first few months of the Beaters' existance in 1979. Prior to that, he played for Tom Jones, Al Jarreau and Elvis Presley, among others. Lon has returned to his schooling in the music department at USC, where he has had his classical piece performed by the school's symphony orchestra. www.txstnr.com/
Ricky Hirsch: Guitar. Mobile, Alabama's Ricky Hirsch was lead guitarist and songwriter for Wet Willie. He wrote their biggest hits, "Keep On Smilin'" and "Country Side of Life". Ricky, along with Billy, the leader Beater, co-wrote "Papa Come Quick (Jody & Chico)", an important song on Bonnie Raitt's "Luck of the Draw" album which has sold more than five million copies to date and appears on Bonnie's new DVD. rickhirsch.com
Chuck Fiore: Bass. Chuck and Billy played in bands together back in New York before Chuck made the move to Los Angeles a couple of years before his pal. He had worked with John Denver and Phoebe Snow before becoming the organizing force behind the Beaters.
Willie Ornelas: Drums. Long one of the city's top studio drummers, Willie is one of the newest Beaters. He started his career playing with BJ Thomas, Bobby Bland, Johnny Rivers, and on Mike Post's TV series scores.
Terry Landry: Saxophone. The newest Beater has played with Stevie Wonder, Sheila E., Royal Crown Revue, Natalie Cole, & Tony Bennett among others. He's recently recorded with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and with the Dixie Chicks on their multi-platinum 2007 Grammy award winning "The Long Way Home".
